UMW Retreat

Last weekend was our United Methodist Women's (UMW)
Retreat which was held at a wonderful retreat location
near Brenham. Our theme was titled "If The Shoe Fits"
and we know how we ladies can all relate to shoes!

Above are some of the table centerpieces and

during one of the breaks we all decorated our

own flip flops. Our theme colors were pink,

lime green and black. Can you tell? :) These

are my flip flops which didn't turn out half-bad!

The retreat was broken into 4 sessions. I only

attended the day part of the retreat on Saturday.

My two sessions were titled "Lacing Up the Tongue"

and "Is There a Hole in Your Sole?" Both were

really powerful messages. Towards the end of

"Is There a Hole in Your Sole" there wasn't a dry

eye in the room. It is really nice to have a safe

place to lay the "holes in our souls" in front of our

Lord and know you are in the company of others

doing the same. We had a very emotional prayer

time at the end of this session. I pray everyone

walked away with faith that only our Lord can

bring healing to the hurting.

Pretty Texas wild-flowers....it was so nice to

be out in the country and the drive out was

so relaxing and pretty.
